Now is the time in the semester where I miss yoga every morning by the ocean, and the mango smoothies from Tru nature Juice Bar. Leaving Cali to come back to school in DC was one of the last things I wanted to do. I was vibing high, eating great, and just getting my self-care on! Its California, no explanation needed.
So my last year at Howard has begun, and it’s been full of L’s to say the least. I honestly think i’m being punk’d, cause my life is obviously a joke. From car trouble, to unemployment, to class registration issues, I can proudly say that I am a poster child for the college struggle! And although I want to stay in bed and cry everyday when I wake up for my 8am class, I know that there’s a light at the end of this struggle. And it looks like a yard full chairs and blue caps and (if we’re lucky) a speaker worthy of an honorary doctorate. A special person in my life has shown me that there’s positives in every negative situation. So I’ll focus on those. Like the fact that I now know how to get out of paying multiple parking tickets. I now see college as one of those experiences in life where you’re supposed to fail, to later succeed; That way you’ll appreciate your successes way more.
